Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences
 
The program of study leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science is designed to give the student a broad and thorough understanding of Biology within historical, philosophical, Biblical and scientific perspectives. It is designed for the persons seeking careers in health care including bachelor’s level research positions in biology, pharmacy, veterinary sciences, medicine, and professional education.
 
Graduates will demonstrate the following competencies: 1) a broad understanding of the disciplines of biology 2) through the study of our classical core, extensive competency in writing, reading, critical analysis, and synthesis that leads to a senior thesis, and 3) a Christian world view through the study of our Biblical core.
 
Students will master concepts in inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, genetics, microbiology, physiology, anatomy, and genetics. Collectively, these areas of focus provide a broad and comprehensive view of biological sciences. Each student will have exposure to both our classical and Biblical core – the foundations of Morthland College.
 
 

Biological Sciences – Degree Requirements
 
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences require a minimum of 127 credit hours to graduate. The table shown below lists the course requirements for graduation. Like all programs at Morthland College, the student pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Biological Science will also complete a General Education Core, Classical Core, Biblical Core, and a Programmatic Core (Biological Sciences). Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biblical Studies require a minimum of 127 credit hours to graduate. The table shown below lists the course requirements for graduation. In general, all programs at Morthland College are comprised of a General Education Core, Classical Core, Biblical Core, and a Program Core.
